Stuff I Loved this Week:

1. Just in time for Hump Day of the Year: a progression of photos submitted for the recipe titled simply Shortbread on Allrecipes.com.

And in the last frame, the photographer carefully revealed a peek of his Valentine that was subtle yet visible enough to tantalize the outside world with the enigma of her cherubic beauty.

I can feel the love, all right.

2. This review for San Juan National Forest, where I considered dropping by on a possible trip to Colorado. Alas, it did not make the books, but I’ll remember to visit this national treasure next time, all while prepared to defend my human rights.

3. On a heavier note: Criminal, a true crime podcast that covers crimes past and present, and not limited to homicides, recently released a raw, up-close-and-personal interview with Lawrence Lessig, the accomplished American lawyer you didn’t think you knew, about a crime that persisted throughout much of his childhood and that later drove his quest for justice. I never knew much about him or that he could be such a frank interviewee, but after doing some research, found that he’s written books on a diverse array of topics, including copyright law (and founded the Creative Commons, nbd) due to his investment in the arts. Just an all-’round cool guy. For a genuine discussion around courage and justicelisten to “The Choir.”
